Glorieta Gabriela: Her History
Glorieta Gabriela was the last mare bred by Glorieta Ranch, who was well known for producing horses with storybook-like, ethereal beauty. The foaling out of Glorieta Gabriela marked an end to years of breeding top show horses by Glorieta Ranch.

Glorieta Gabriela ("Gabby") was dispersed as a young filly along with the remaining Glorieta herd and her new owner knew little about the genetic wealth Gabby possessed. 

Glorieta Gabriela: A Treasure Found
Bob and Marlys Vermeire of Alara Egyptian Arabians located in Geneseo, IL started their SE breeding program in 2004. Their program was accelerated by the purchased of the Imperial Imdal son, Alfano Mystall, in 2005. 

They were seeking foundation quality broodmares to cross with Mystall when they saw an ad for an SE Arabian mare for sale. Upon researching her pedigree and seeing Glorieta Gabriela in person,  Bob and Marlys knew this mare was truely a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Glorieta Gabriela: History Being Made
The cross between Glorieta Gabriela and Alfano Mystall proved to be so exceptional, it has been repeated a total of four times. The full siblings, comprised of two fillies and one colt, will carry on Glorieta Gabriela's legacy for decades to come through their get and grandget. The 4th foal from this cross is due late July 2011,-- and Gabby delivered a beautiful bay filly!

The Glorieta Gabriela Legacy Family
Gabby is in great health and seems to have no idea that she is 21 years old as she "dances" behind the lead, Bob and Marlys wanted to ensure that her bloodlines were carried forward. Gabby is the only mare bred by Glorieta Ranch that is in production and the only mare still producing from the cross between her sire and dam. It is one thing to have rare bloodlines, it is another to have the charisma, style and grace of a queen!

And so the Glorieta Gabriela Legacy Family is born and reinforced with the four full siblings that will carry forth in Gabby's name and honor.
